Jesse Quevedo, “Chuy” (El Bro) was born on October 28, 1960, in Tahoka, Texas, and entered into rest on November 10, 2025, in Crystal City, Texas.
Chuy was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Paula R. Quevedo, and by his siblings Juan Quevedo, Albert Quevedo, Guadaloupe Quevedo, and Maria Del Carmen Rios.
He is survived by his siblings Rosa Quevedo, Sylvia R. Cardenas, Ricky Rios, and Enrique Rios, along with a large and loving circle of nieces and nephews who adored him deeply.
Chuy found joy in the simple things that bring families together, especially cooking. Whether he was preparing a meal or telling one of his many life stories, he had a gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. He never met a type of food he didn’t like and never missed a chance to feed the people he loved. Outside of work, he enjoyed being outdoors. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, and his willingness to help anyone who needed him. His stories, his laughter, and the warmth he brought into every room will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He will forever be treasured by all of his loved ones.
