Maria De Jesus Villarreal of Crystal City, Texas, passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on October 30, 1962, in Crystal City, Texas, Maria’s life was defined by her deep devotion to her family, her generous spirit, and the warmth she brought into every home she touched.

Maria was a loving wife for 38 years and 9 months to her beloved husband, Evelio Villarreal. As a dedicated homemaker, Maria created a haven filled with love, laughter, and comfort for those fortunate enough to know her. She had a special fondness for the simple beauties of life, particularly flowers and hummingbirds, which brought her joy and reflected her gentle and nurturing soul.

She was a proud mother to her children: daughters Sarah Amaya and Natasha Mendoza, and sons Mauro Vega and Carlos Vega.

She is survived by brothers Felimon Sepeda, Parlo Sepeda, and Lucio Sepeda, and sisters Margarita Vielma, Yolanda Fuentes, and Maria Magdalena Balderas. She also leaves her legacy behind to her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Maria is preceded in death by her father Felimon Sepeda, her mother Sara Ramirez Sepeda, and her sister Suzie Castro.
